The club was founded in 1967, at the time of its foundation 8 yachts were based, in 2012 the yacht club is the largest in Ukraine and has 120 yachts.

The vast majority of yachts are built by the yachtsmen of the club.

Among the founders of the club is the traveler Dmitry Lvovich Biryukovich.

Yacht Club has acted and continues to act as one of the organizers of the regattas, including:

  • "The Great Dnipro Cup"
  • "Sailing Jour-Tour" - in conjunction with the Ukrainian company Media Group "Ukraine", the Kiev Institute of Journalism, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine

For more than 50 years the Kyiv City Cruising Yacht Club has been unites lovers of yachting and sailing.

Since birth, the club has become a place of pilgrimage for miners from all over the country.

Technological design of amateur yacht building was developed and practically tested.

We must also remember the sporting achievements of the members of the yacht club.
